The soft glow of the studio lights cast long shadows as Jasper cleaned his brushes. He'd spent the entire day immersed in his craft, losing himself in the textures and colors of the canvas. The deadline for the exhibition was met and he felt, in every sense of the word, free. The fatigue was more than worth it. He felt the weight lift, the pressure gone.

A message from a friend arrived, and he scrolled through the photos. A forearm, displaying his signature style. A slow smile spread across his face.

He paused, holding the brush. A quiet sense of… acceptance washed over him. He set the brushes down and leaned against the sink, feeling… okay.
